DPRK's Important Days Marked in Nepal

Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- A seminar, round-table talks, photo exhibition and film shows took place at the National Press Club and Orchad Hotel of Nepal on Sept. 25 on the 66th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 85th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union.

Displayed in the venues were photos on the undying feats the peerlessly great persons performed in founding and strengthening the WPK and photos on the army and people of the DPRK pushing forward socialist construction under the leadership of the party.

Korean films shown included "Pyongyang at Night".

The participants laid floral baskets and bouquets before the portraits of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

The general secretary of the C.C., Nepal Communist Party (United) said in a speech that the birth of the WPK would have been unthinkable without the undying feats of the President. The President always found himself among the people and laid down lines and policies by reflecting their wishes and aspiration, he noted.

Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the events.
