Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- The People's Headquarters for Getting Registration Fee Halved in south Korea staged a candlelight rally for a solution to the issue of registration fee in Chonggye Plaza of Seoul on Thursday, according to KBS and CBS of south Korea.

The Headquarters consists of more than 700 organizations of students, civic and social circles and parents of students.

The participants in the rally dismissed the measure for registration fee taken by the authorities recently as a deceptive policy as it turned down the students and people's demand for getting the fee halved.

They urged the authorities to set up an institutional mechanism for fulfilling their commitment to halve the registration fee.

At the end of the rally they staged a demo.

78 companies of policemen cracked down the demonstrators firing water cannons.
