Pyongyang Students and Children's Palace

Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Students and Children's Palace is in an excellent location on Jangdaejae Hill in downtown Pyongyang.

The palace, built under deep care of President Kim Il Sung, was opened on September 30, Juche 52 (1963).

It, with a total floor space of 50,000 square meters, covers 110,000 square meters. It, consisting of several buildings, has several hundred rooms, theater, gymnasium, outdoor practice ground, library and museum and amusement facilities.

The 10,000-capacity palace houses 120 scientific and technological, artistic and sports groups.

Many members of the artistic groups are often selected for foreign performance tours of Pyongyang schoolchildren art troupes.

Since its opening, the palace has trained hundreds of thousands of musicians, dancers, computer experts, Taekwon-Do players, calligraphers and other talents.
