Important Days of DPRK Observed Abroad

Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- A meeting took place in Germany, a ceremony of opening Korean book and photo exhibition in Mongolia and a lecture in Guinea between Sept. 23 and 24 on the occasions of the 66th birthday of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 85th anniversary of the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU).

On display in the venues of the events were works of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il and books and photos introducing the reality of the DPRK.

The chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Germany praised the great exploits performed by Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for founding the WPK and developing it.

Referring to the miracles and feats performed by the Korean people in socialist construction, he called for significantly commemorating the Day of the Sun in 2012 with colorful events in Germany, too.

E. Maksim, executive chairperson of the Mongolian Mt. Paektu Association for Independent Development, said that the exhibition would offer an opportunity to know better about the successes made by the Korean people in the efforts to achieve the country's prosperity under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.

Abdoulaye Diallo, chairman of the Guinean Society for the Study of the Juche Literary Idea, said: The WPK is the party fully supported and trusted by the popular masses because it lays down lines and policies reflecting the will, demands and interests of the working people and thoroughly implements them.
