Pyongyang, September 29 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Thursday hosted a reception for the delegation of the Communist Party of China.

Present there on invitation were members of the delegation headed by Guo Shengkun, secretary of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Committee of the CPC, and staff members of the Chinese embassy here.

Kim Yong Il, alternate member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the C.C., the WPK, and officials of the WPK Central Committee were present there.

Kim Yong Il said in his speech that the historic meeting between the top leaders marked an important occasion in boosting the friendship and unity between the two parties and peoples of the two countries and putting spurs to socialist construction in the two countries.

Noting that the Chinese people are greeting the 90th anniversary of the CPC and the centenary of the 1911 Revolution of China, he wished them greater successes in carrying out the tasks for this year, the first year of the 12th five-year plan, under the guidance of the CPC.

Guo said that the Korean people are registering great successes in various fields of socialist construction under the leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il. We are sincerely rejoiced over them as close comrades and friends, he stressed.

He expressed belief that the diligent and resourceful Korean people would significantly greet the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung under the leadership of the WPK headed by Kim Jong Il.
