Juche-based Literature, Arts Make Big Progress

Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- Many masterpieces have been created in the DPRK since the historic conference of the Workers' Party of Korea was held in September 2010, enriching the Juche-based literature and arts.

The spirit of the conference was reflected in "October Concert" and "Lunar New Year Concert" given by the Unhasu Orchestra. The concerts demonstrated the Korean people's will to successfully accomplish the cause of socialist construction under the leadership of Kim Jong Il, venerating President Kim Il Sung as the eternal sun.

"December Concert" given by the State Merited Chorus and performances by the Samjiyon Band of the Mansudae Art Troupe and the National Symphony Orchestra encouraged the Korean army and people to turn out in the effort for the building of a thriving nation.

A large magic performance was given splendidly at the May Day Stadium in Pyongyang in April, providing a glimpse of the rapidly developing Juche-oriented magic art.

Symphony "Song Dedicated to Party" and songs "I Sing of Party" and "Glory to Our Great Party" inspired the Korean people to perform feats in socialist construction.

The National Theatrical Troupe created a drama "We Will Recollect Today" implanting revolutionary views of life and future in the mind of the people.

After enjoying the drama, Kim Jong Il said it was a great masterpiece that gives a profound philosophical representation of recollection of faith and will, not sorrow.

Pieces of mass literature, created over the past one year, deal with the history of the Korean people's struggle for carving out their destiny in an independent and creative way under the leadership of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
