Centenary of 1911 Revolution of China Marked

Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- A photo exhibition marking centenary of the 1911 Revolution of China was opened at the Pyongyang Center for Cultural Exchange with Foreign Countries on Tuesday.

Displayed in the venue of the opening ceremony are dozens of photos dealing with the history in which the Chinese people have covered the road of victory and prosperity under the leadership of the Communist Party of China since the 1911 Revolution.

Present there were Minister of Public Health Choe Chang Sik, chairman of the Central Committee of the DPRK-China Friendship Association, officials of the association central committee, officials concerned, working people in the city, Guan Huabing, charge d'affaires ad interim of the Chinese embassy here, and his embassy officials, Chinese students and residents here and guests staying in the DPRK.

Speeches were made at the opening ceremony.

Choe Chang Sik said that over the past century since the 1911 Revolution, the Chinese people built new socialist China, weathering out difficulties and trials, adding that this would be unthinkable without the leadership of the CPC.

The DPRK-China friendship is steadily developing favorably under the deep care of leader Kim Jong Il and Hu Jintao, he noted.

Guan Huabing referred to the achievements made by the Chinese people in the revolution and construction under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.

He expressed the conviction that the photo exhibition would mark an occasion in deepening understanding of the peoples of the two countries and strengthening the friendly relations.
