Proposal for Founding DFRK Supported by Bangladeshi Political Figure

Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- Hasanul Huq Inu, chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Bangladesh National Socialist Party, released a statement on Sept. 22 on the 31st anniversary of the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo (DFRK).

In October 1980 President Kim Il Sung advanced a proposal for founding the DFRK which calls for reunifying the country on the condition that the north and the south recognize and tolerate each other's ideas and social systems, the statement said, and went on:

The above-said proposal is the most fair and aboveboard proposal for reunification as it correctly reflects the reality of the Korean Peninsula.

A unified government of the federal state calls for respecting the will of all parties and groups and people from all walks of life in the north and the south and bars any party from forcing its will upon the other party.

Accordingly, the north and the south will have no conditions for standing in confrontation and fighting each other in pursuit of each other's interests and fundamentally ban military conflict.

The south Korean ruling forces, however are peddling what they call "unification" theory in violation of the north-south agreement.

Under the situation on the Korean Peninsula where differing ideologies and systems have existed in the north and the south, the "unification of systems" precisely means one party swallowing up the other party and this is, in essence, little short of a war action.

We extend full support and solidarity to the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people in their struggle to reunify the country independently and peacefully in accordance with the proposal for founding the DFRK advanced by the President.
