WPK's Anniversary Marked in Benin, Nigeria

Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- A meeting and film show took place in Benin and an opening ceremony of a week of Korean photo exhibition in Nigeria on Sept. 17 and 19 on the 66th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Displayed in the venue of the photo exhibition were photos on the feats President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il performed in the party building and photos on the struggle of the army and people of the DPRK.

Films shown included Korean films "The Tower of the Juche Idea" and "Pyongyang at Night".

Hessou Kohovi, chairman of the Benin-Korea Amicable Association "Long Live Kim Jong Il, Supreme Leader", said that Kim Jong Il has strengthened the WPK into the party which struck deep roots among the popular masses and enjoys absolute support and trust from them.

The chairman went on: Kim Jong Il, who fully embodied the President's idea of believing in people as in Heaven, regarded it as the supreme principle of the party activities to steadily improve the standard of people's life and made sure that it was fully embodied. Herein lies the reason why the WPK is called the mother party.

The rector of the Cotonou Institute of Journalism of Benin noted that Kim Jong Il has conducted energetic activities with the faith and will to strengthen the WPK into the eternal party of the President.

The managing director of the Franoson Mannyon International Company Ltd. of Nigeria noted the real picture of the DPRK in which the leader, the party and the masses have achieved single-minded unity proves the invincible might of the WPK.
