Historic Sites in Pyongyang Introduced by Russian Paper

Pyongyang, September 23 (KCNA) -- The Russian paper Patriot No. 34 carried an article titled "Pyongyang and Its Centuries' Old Historic Sites."

In the past Korean War the U.S. not only committed barbarous bombings and bombardments against the northern half of Korea, killing innocent civilians, but destroyed a lot of historic sites which bear witness to the brilliant culture of the Korean nation, the paper said, and went on:

The Korean people, however, rebuilt cities and streets on debris and restored the destroyed historic sites to their original state.

The historic sites in Pyongyang are precious treasures showing the time-honored history and brilliant culture of the Korean nation.

The paper also edited photos of King Tangun's Mausoleum, King Tongmyong's Mausoleum, Pyongyang Bell, Taedong Gate and other historic sites.
