Lao President Enjoys Extravaganza "Arirang"

Pyongyang, September 22 (KCNA) -- Choummaly Sayasone, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and president of Laos, enjoyed the grand gymnastic and artistic performance "Arirang" at the May Day Stadium on Thursday.

Among the audience were Thongloun Sisoulith, vice-prime minister and foreign minister of Laos and member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and chairman of the Committee for External Affairs of the LPRP, Bounpone Bouttanavong, member of the Political Bureau of the LPRP Central Committee and secretary and secretary general of the C.C., the LPRP, Cheuang Sombounkhan, secretary of the LPRP Central Committee and chairman of the Propaganda and Education Ideological Committee, Phongsavath Boupha, minister and secretary general of the Presidency and Chansamone Chanyalath, member of the C.C., the LPRP and vice-minister of Defence, Chaleune Warinthrasak, Lao ambassador to the DPRK, and other suite members and staff members of the Lao embassy.

Kim Yong Nam, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Yong Il, alternate member of the Political Bureau and the secretary of the C.C., the WPK, Pak Ui Chun, minister of Foreign Affairs, Han Pong Ho, DPRK ambassador to Laos, officials of party, armed forces, ministries and national institutions, servicepersons and working people in Pyongyang enjoyed the performance.

The extravaganza fully represented the heroic spirit of the DPRK army and people in their struggle for the building of a thriving nation and national reunification, firmly rallied around the party and the might of Korean-style socialism.

The guests sent applause to the performers who presented fantastic scenes of arts through a good combination of graceful dances strong in national flavor, dynamic gymnastics, ever-changing background, etc.
