Floral Tribute Paid to Kim Jong Suk

Pyongyang, September 22 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the bust of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk at the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong on Thursday on the 62nd anniversary of her demise.

Standing there was a wreath sent by leader Kim Jong Il.

Attending the wreath-laying ceremony were senior party, state and army officials, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of the party, armed forces and power bodies, social organizations, ministries and national institutions, officers and soldiers of the Korean People's Army (KPA) and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces (KPISF) and working people and school youth and children in Pyongyang.

Wreaths were laid before the bust of Kim Jong Suk in the name of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and Cabinet of the DPRK.

Also placed before it were wreaths in the name of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the Ministry of People's Security, social organizations, ministries and national institutions, units of the KPA and KPISF, scientific, educational, culture and arts, public health and media institutions, the joint national organization of the Korean Children's Union, and party and power bodies, factories and farms in Pyongyang.

The participants paid silent tribute to Kim Jong Suk, looking back on the life of the hero who devoted herself to the sacred struggle for the liberation and prosperity of the country and carved out a rosy future of the Juche revolutionary cause.

Meanwhile, floral baskets were laid before her statues in Kim Jong Suk County, Hoeryong City, at Kim Jong Suk Naval University and Kim Jong Suk General Military Academy on the same day.
