Moscow, September 21 (KCNA) -- The Russian Foreign Ministry on Sept. 17 accused the U.S. of its moves to deploy its missile defense system in Europe.

The ministry expressed deep concern over the fact that the U.S. is pushing forward the deployment of MD in Europe as evidenced by its recent signing of an agreement with Poland on deploying interceptor missiles.

It is urgent for Russia to wrest sure assurances that the U.S. MD in Europe is not targeted against the strategic nuclear forces of Russia, the ministry noted.
