Pulling Down of MacArthur's Statue Demanded

Pyongyang, September 21 (KCNA) -- Civic and public organizations including the Korean National Council for the Promotion of the Reunification by Federal Formula, the Association of Reservists for Peace and the Youth Association of south Korea and the Democratic Labor Party held a press conference in Inchon on Sept. 16 demanding the pulling down of the statue of MacArthur, chieftain of the Korean war of aggression.

A press release was read out at the conference.

The U.S. forces occupied south Korea 66 years ago, killing many people and dividing Korea into two parts, it noted, and went on:

MacArthur spearheaded this operation and earned an ill-fame for bringing the danger of a nuclear war to the Korean Peninsula during the last war.

The present regime is a group of wicked pro-U.S. sycophants as it regards the warmaniac's statue as that of its godfather.

It declared they would launch actions to get his statue pulled down.
