DPRK's Proposal for National Reunification Supported in Nepal

Pyongyang, September 21 (KCNA) -- An organization and public figure of Nepal fully supported the fair and aboveboard proposal of the DPRK for national reunification.

The Nepalese Committee for Supporting the Reunification of Korea in a statement on Sept. 10 said that the "unification" strategy peddled by the south Korean authorities is very nonsensical and is a main factor of driving the inter-Korean relations into catastrophe and danger.

The proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo advanced by President Kim Il Sung is the most reasonable proposal for reunification, it noted, stressing that the reunification by federal formula alone brings peace.

Manik Lal Shrestha, chairman of the Nepal-Korea Friendship Association, in a statement on Sept. 12 said that the world peace-loving people hope Korea would be reunified peacefully at an early date.

The "unification" strategy of the south Korean authorities is encouraging the imperialist aggression forces in their war fever, the statement noted. It denounced the belligerent elements for trying to invade the other party under the pretext of unification.
