Teaching Programs Updated in University

Pyongyang, September 19 (KCNA) -- Teaching programs have been updated at Kim Chaek University of Technology in the DPRK, in keeping with the world's trend of education and science.

Over the past decade, the university has introduced some 100 subjects of cutting-edge science and technologies, including information and nano technologies, biological engineering, CNC technology and four-dimensional and five-dimensional designing.

The Information College affiliated with the university has updated more than 50 percent of the subjects on satellite communications, mobile communications and Internet technologies on the basis of latest scientific and technological literature.

The university has paid much effort to mathematic education to improve students' ability to apply and use the already acquired knowledge in practice.

It has also launched new subjects exclusively for talented students. Based on the e-library, it has laid foundations to turn all lectures into multi-media and network ones.

Hundreds of professors of the university were registered as inventors of new teaching methods and 50 classes won scientific research prizes and the title of inventors.
