DPRK, People's Country: Foreign Papers

Pyongyang, September 19 (KCNA) -- Foreign papers carried special write-ups on Sept. 9, the 63rd anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The Russian paper Nakhodkinski Rabochi carried an article headlined "Placing people's interests before anything else" with a picture of smiling President Kim Il Sung. The article said:

The will and demand of the people make up an idea, line and policies when they are put together into a systematic whole. This was the opinion of Kim Il Sung, the founder of socialist Korea.

He shaped the policies reflecting the will and demand of the people before proclaiming the founding of the DPRK.

The founding of the DPRK after the enforcement of all the democratic reforms was little short of proclaiming the founding of a genuine people's power representing and defending the interests of the working people including workers and farmers.

The Russian paper Priamurskiye Vedomostsi carried an article with a picture of the smiling President. The article praised the feats he performed in nation building.

The guiding idea of the DPRK is the Juche idea, the man-centred philosophical idea, founded by the President and developed in depth by leader Kim Jong Il, the paper said, and went on: The DPRK regards it as a principle to defend the sovereignty of the country in international relations.

The Cambodian paper Pracheachon carried an article with a photo of the President. The article noted:

The DPRK has turned into a powerful socialist nation, independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence, freed from centuries-old backwardness and poverty.

It has become a political, ideological and military power to be reckoned with as it is steering global independence while demonstrating the sovereignty and dignity of the country in the single-handed stand-off with the imperialist allied forces.
