Pyongyang, September 19 (KCNA) -- A seminar on leader Kim Jong Il's work "Socialism Is a Science" was held by the Group for the Study of the Progressive Ideas of South Africa on Sept. 5.

Present there were officials of the South African Preparatory Committee for Commemorating the Centenary of Birth of President Kim Il Sung, the Group for the Study of the Progressive Ideas of South Africa and the Democratic Teachers Union of South Africa and masses.

The basic content of the work was explained at the seminar to be followed by speeches.

Eddie Kekana, chairman of the Group, said:

Kim Jong Il in his work gave a scientific exposition of the advantages and validity of socialism and clarified its invincibility.

The world progressives are praising him as a distinguished leader of socialism.

He is pursuing the Songun politics and firmly defending socialism.

Songun politics is, indeed, a treasured sword of victory for the world socialist cause.

We are convinced that socialism is sure to triumph thanks to his leadership.

Speakers referred to the theoretical and practical significance of the work.
