DPRK Anniversary Marked by Foreign Media

Pyongyang, September 18 (KCNA) -- Newspapers of Malaysia, Laos and Democratic Congo released special write-ups while TVs and radios of several countries broadcasted and showed Korean films from Sept. 8 to 10 on the 63rd anniversary of the DPRK.

Guang Ming Daily of Malaysia on Sept. 7 carried the photo of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il discussing the work and carried a special write-up titled "Warm congratulations on the 63rd anniversary of the DPRK".

The Sept. 9th issue of Pasason, the Sept. 7th issue of Congtap Pasason Lao and the Sept. 9th issue of Vientiane Mai, the Lao newspapers, carried the photo of the President among the working people and an article titled "People's country".

Newspaper of Democratic Congo L'Avenir carried on Sept. 6 an article titled "Might of DPRK" and a photo showing the panoramic view of Pyongyang city.

The Syrian central TV and radio carried photos on revolutionary activities of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and showed some scenes of the grand gymnastic and art performance "Arirang". They said that the DPRK regards the Juche idea and the Songun idea founded by Kim Il Sung as the guidelines.

TV of Equatorial Guinea showed the beaming image of Kim Il Sung, photos on his exploits in founding the DPRK and photos on Kim Jong Il's Songun leadership exploits. It released special reports three times.

The Equatorial Guinean radio, too, aired an article saying that the Korean people have made positive contributions to ensuring the peace and security in Asia and the rest of the world.

Apsara Television and radio of Cambodia said that the DPRK advancing vigorously towards the thriving nation will shine as Kim Il Sung's Korea forever.

Myanmar TV showed the Korean film "Pyongyang Today".
