Tehran, September 15 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry in a press conference on Sept. 13 clarified the stand of the government not to stop its nuclear activities for peaceful purpose.

A spokesman for the U.S. State Department recently insisted that Iran has no need to continue conducting uranium enrichment. This shows that the U.S. does not know well about the nuclear issue of Iran, the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said.

In order to supply fuel for the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, Iran will continue pushing forward the nuclear activities for peaceful purpose including uranium enrichment, he stressed.
