Pyongyang, September 15 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, sent a message of greeting on Thursday to Daniel Ortega Saavedra, president of Nicaragua, on the 190th anniversary of its independence.

Kim, in the message, noted the government and people of Nicaragua have achieved great successes in the struggle to further consolidate the independence of the country and achieve social progress and development.

The message wished friendly Nicaragua prosperity, expressing hope that the president and government of Nicaragua would register greater successes in the work for national unity, sustainable economic development and people's welfare.
