Beijing, September 13 (KCNA) -- The vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of China called for intensifying research in military science and updating military theories.

Addressing the 7th national meeting of military science on September 7, Guo Boxiong stressed that the Chinese army should develop military theories in conformity with its historic mission to attain a sound theoretical basis for revolutionizing, modernizing and regularizing itself and for making combat preparedness.
