Pyongyang, September 14 (KCNA) -- The Art and Literature Publishing House of the DPRK recently published new collections of short stories based on different themes.

One of them is Volume 4 "Strong Sense of Obligation" of the collection of short stories which has been published to mark the centennial birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

The collection consists of 20 stories, including "Place for Happy Living" showing President Kim Il Sung's strong sense of obligation and love for revolutionaries and people.

Another collection "Road to the Front" also contains 20 stories praising the great feats performed by Kim Jong Il in his Songun (military-first) leadership.

Some stories, including "At the Seashore Beaten by Waves", say that Kim Jong Il's continuous inspection tour of army units in the frontline areas is based on love for and trust in the soldiers and people and aimed to augment the dignity of the DPRK.

A collection "Shining Stars" tells of collective heroism displayed by soldiers of the People's Army during the Fatherland Liberation War (1950-1953), while "Deep Roots" gives a vivid account of socialist patriotism.
