Sri Lanka Rejects IMF Interference

Pyongyang, September 14 (KCNA) -- The Central Bank of Sri Lanka released a statement rejecting the IMF interference on Sept. 9.

IMF took issue with it for raising the exchange rate of the Sri Lankan rupee for U.S. dollar, forcing the country to change it, the statement said.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka will not accept the IMF demand but continue enforcing its own exchange rate policy to suit its specific conditions, the statement added.
