Moscow, September 13 (KCNA) -- The Russian Foreign Ministry on Sept. 12 rejected Japan's concern over the patrol flight by strategic bombers of the Russian Air Force in the sky above the Pacific.

Japan's concern is groundless and is aimed to aggravate the sentiment against Russia and vitiate the atmosphere of relations between the two countries, the ministry said.

The patrol flight was made strictly according to international regulations and law and it does not pose a threat to Japan, the ministry stressed.
