Pyongyang, September 13 (KCNA) -- Group E preliminaries for the 2012 Asian U-16 Football Championship are going on at Kim Il Sung Stadium in Pyongyang.

On Tuesday the DPRK beat Singapore 1:0 and Malaysia defeated East Timor 3:0

The DPRK team is taking the lead in Group E with three wins in three matches.

It won matches with East Timor 11:2 on September 8 and with Malaysia 3:0 on September 10.

It is already certain that the DPRK will go to the finals.

China is the runner-up in Group E.

The Chinese team beat the Malaysian and Singaporean teams 3:1 respectively.

There will be matches between Singapore and Malaysia and between China and East Timor on Thursday.
