Wreaths Laid at Cemeteries of Martyrs on Harvest Moon Day

Pyongyang, September 12 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid at the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong and the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery on Monday on the harvest moon day.

Seen standing on the wreath-laying stands were wreaths from Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremonies were Choe Yong Rim, Kim Ki Nam, Yang Hyong Sop, Kang Sok Ju, Kim Jong Gak, Pak To Chun, Choe Ryong Hae, Kim Phyong Hae, Ju Kyu Chang and U Tong Chuk, and others and officials of the party, armed forces and power organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, servicepersons of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces and working people here.

Laid on the wreath-laying stands were wreaths in the name of the Central Committee of the WPK, the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly and the DPRK Cabinet, the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the Ministry of People's Security, units of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, ministries, national institutions, institutions of education, culture and arts, public health and media, the party and power organs, enterprises and farms here.

The participants paid silent tribute to the martyrs.

Wreaths, bunches of flowers and flowers were laid before the statues of martyrs, martyrs' cemeteries, Monuments to Fallen Fighters of the Korean People's Army and graves of martyrs in different parts of the country on Monday.
