Wreaths Laid before Graves of Grandparents and Parents of President Kim Il Sung

Pyongyang, September 12 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the graves of ardent patriots Kim Po Hyon and Ri Po Ik and graves of Kim Hyong Jik, the indomitable revolutionary fighter and outstanding leader of the anti-Japanese national liberation movement in Korea, and Kang Pan Sok who devoted her precious life to the cause of the women's emancipation in Korea in Mangyongdae, Pyongyang on Monday, the harvest moon day.

Seen standing before the graves were wreaths sent by Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Kim Yong Nam, Kim Yong Chun, Choe Thae Bok, Thae Jong Su, Mun Kyong Dok, Vice-Premiers Jon Ha Chol and Kang Nung Su, officials of the party and power bodies and working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions and working people in Pyongyang.

Laid before the graves were wreaths in the name of the Central Committee of the WPK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, the DPRK Cabinet, working people's organizations, ministries, national institutions, educational and public health organs, the party and power bodies and farms in Pyongyang.

The participants paid silent tribute to Kim Po Hyon and Ri Po Ik, Kim Hyong Jik and Kang Pan Sok.
