Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association Formed

Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- The Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association was formed with due ceremony on Sept. 3.

Present at the inaugural ceremony were Nigerian personages including the former deputy president of the Senate, the former speaker of the House of Representatives, the former minister of Sports and Youth Development, the former superintendent-general of Federal Police, the director of Asia-Pacific Department of the Foreign Ministry and the chairman of the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea and other people.

The ambassador and staff members of the DPRK embassy in Abuja were present there on invitation.

Ibrahim Mantu, former deputy president of the Senate, in his speech said that he was pleased with the formation of the association. The association will conduct colorful work to strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries and the two peoples on the principle of mutual benefits in the future, he added.
