Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- The competitions in different events of the 17th ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships began.

Pattern competition, sparring, demonstration, special ability and self-protection competitions are to be held in men's and women's team and individual events.

The first day events took place at the Taekwon-Do Hall on Thursday.

Famous players who proved successful in the past championships and others took part in the events.

Taekwon-Do players competed in men's and women's pattern individual games of A, B, C and D degrees and men's and women's team events. They displayed rapid speed, powerful movements and a high degree of collectivism.

Championships go on.
