Floral Tribute Paid to Martyrs

Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the statues of martyrs, martyrs' cemeteries, the monuments to fallen fighters of the Korean People's Army and martyrs' graves across the country on Friday on the 63rd birthday of the DPRK.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremonies were officials of local party and power organs and working people's organizations, servicepersons of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, working people and school youth and children.

Wreaths in the name of local party and power organs, working people's organizations, units of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, industrial establishments, farms, schools, etc. and bouquets and flowers were also laid before statues of martyrs, martyrs' cemeteries, the monuments to fallen fighters of the KPA and martyrs' graves.

The participants paid silent tribute to the martyrs who laid down their precious lives for the freedom and independence of the country and the prosperity of the country, true to the Songun idea and guidance of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
