Homage Paid to President Kim Il Sung

Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Senior party and state officials, the chairperson of a friendly party and officials of the party and armed forces organs Friday visited the Kumsusan Memorial Palace to pay homage to President Kim Il Sung on the 63rd birthday of the DPRK.

Standing on either side of the statue of the President were flags of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK and colors of the Korean People's Army and the Worker-Peasant Red Guards and Guards of Honor.

A Guard of Honor of the KPA three services and the Worker-Peasant Red Guards lined up, looking up to the statue of the President.

Amid the playing of the "Song of General Kim Il Sung", a floral basket in the joint name of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea, the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and the Cabinet of the DPRK was laid before the statue of the President.

They made a bow towards the statue of the President in humble reverence.

They paid tribute to the President who set forth the Juche-oriented idea and line of nation-building and wisely led the struggle to implement them, developing the DPRK into an independent socialist state centered on the popular masses.
