DPRK Birthday Marked in Colombia

Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- The Colombia-Korea Association of Friendship and Culture released a bulletin "Country of Heroes" on Sept. 1 on the 63rd anniversary of the founding of the DPRK.

The bulletin referred to the fact that in March of 2010 the title of Labor Hero was awarded to officials, scientists, technicians and workers of the February 8 Vinalon Complex who performed distinguished feats in mass production of vinalon. Making many heroes at once draws international attention, it said.

The DPRK has been called "heroic Korea" since its early days, the bulletin noted, citing facts to prove that many heroes were produced during the Fatherland Liberation War, the postwar rehabilitation, socialist construction and the drive for building a great prosperous and powerful nation.

It continued:

Today the stirring reality of the DPRK dashing ahead towards a great prosperous and powerful nation is the great source of producing heroes.

President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il made the DPRK a country of heroes.

They are the greatest heroes as they made the Korean people heroic people and the DPRK a country of heroes.
