Reception Given at DPRK Embassy in Moscow to Mark 63rd Birthday of DPRK

Pyongyang, September 8 (KCNA) -- The DPRK embassy in Moscow hosted a reception on September 6 in celebration of the 63rd birthday of the DPRK.

Present there on invitation were Bogdanov, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, deputies to the Russian State Duma, members of the Federation Council of Russia, officials of "United Russia" Party, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, "A Just Russia", the Party for Peace and Unity of Russia, the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, the Communist Workers' Party of Russia-Revolutionary Communist Party, the Communist Party of Soviet Union, the Foreign Ministry, the Defense Ministry, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Regional Development, the Ministry of Economy and Development, the Ministry of Extraordinary Situation, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Culture, the Academy of Sciences, the Russian Railways Co., Ltd., Gazprom, the Moscow City government, the Veterans Association in Moscow, the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK and other officials concerned.

Present there were Kim Yong Jae, DPRK ambassador to Russia, and staff members of his embassy.

The participants first laid a basket of flowers and bunches of flowers before the full-length picture of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il standing together and paid tribute to them. They went round immortal famous works of the peerlessly great men and photos showing the shining path covered by the DPRK.

Then followed speeches.

The DPRK ambassador referred to the fact that the DPRK has advanced only along the road of victory and glory for over six decades under the wise leadership of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

It is the invariable stand of the DPRK to boost the DPRK-Russia friendship, he said, reiterating his will to make every possible effort to further expand and develop the bilateral friendly and cooperative relations in various fields.

The vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia said that thanks to the deep concern of the top leaders of the two countries the bilateral friendly and cooperative ties have greeted a new heyday, adding that the meeting and talks between Medvedev, president of Russia, and Kim Jong Il which took place in Ulan-Ude in August opened a fresh prospect for promoting the mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields including politics, economy, science and culture.

He reiterated the will to exert efforts for making the bilateral cooperation contribute to ensuring stability on the Korean Peninsula and deepening the mutual confidence, and closely cooperate with the DPRK in the future, too to attain the common objective for the denuclearization of the peninsula and peace in Northeast Asia.
