Phyongsong, September 8 (KCNA) -- An event on the theme of "First Aid For All" took place at Okjon Secondary School No. 1 in South Phyongan Province Thursday on World First Aid Day.

Among those present there were officials of the DPRK Red Cross Society, the delegation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies active here and members of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The event included a workshop on first aid for young members of the Red Cross Society and volunteers.

Then followed speeches.

The participants watched a competition of young members of the Red Cross Society and volunteers in first aid.
