DPRK's Birthday Marked in Bangladesh

Pyongyang, September 8 (KCNA) -- Rashed Khan Menon, chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh, and Hasanul Huq Inu, chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Bangladesh National Socialist Party, on September 3 issued a joint statement on the 63rd anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

President Kim Il Sung, the father of socialist Korea, liberated the country and founded the DPRK, the statement said, and went on:

The Korean people came to enjoy an independent and creative life in all fabrics of social life as the master of their destiny and the DPRK emerged a socialist power, independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence, successfully weathering all ordeals of history.

Indeed, the President's founding of the DPRK was an immortal contribution to the Korean revolution and the human cause of independence.

The Korean people are dynamically pushing forward the advance for a great surge in the building of a thriving nation, firmly protecting the sovereignty of the country and the dignity of the nation under the outstanding Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.

We are convinced that the Korean people will build a thriving socialist nation in the near future and certainly achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.
