Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- The U.S. unemployment rate remained at 9.1 percent in August, the Labor Department reported Friday.

The total number of unemployed Americans edged up to 13.967 million last month from 13.931 million in July, almost double the level prior to the recession.
