Birthday of DPRK Marked Abroad

Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- Seminars, round-table talks, photo exhibitions and film shows were held in Democratic Congo, Bangladesh and Iran on Sept. 1 to mark the 63rd anniversary of the DPRK.

Displayed on the venues were photos of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il on their undying revolutionary feats and the photos of the true image of Songun Korea.

Films shown included "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation" and "Reply of Korea".

The vice-chairman of the Youth Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in Democratic Congo and other speakers noted the President founded the DPRK, the first country for the people in the 5 000 year-long history of the Korean nation, and developed it into a socialist power, independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence.

Socialism in the DPRK, a beautiful flower garden for the people arranged and cultivated by the President all his life, is being further developed under the wise guidance of Kim Jong Il. The President's feats on nation-building will shine for all ages along with the eternal prosperity of socialist Korea, they added.

The general secretary of the Bangladesh Institute of the Juche Idea and other speakers said with appreciation that the DPRK is now demonstrating its dignity and might as an ideological, political and military power and this would be unthinkable without the tested leadership of Kim Jong Il who is leading the Korean revolution to victory with his outstanding political caliber.

The secretary general of the International Taekwon-Do Association in Iran noted the DPRK is dynamically advancing while smashing all the maneuvers of the U.S. for aggression of the DPRK and working world-startling miracles and innovations as it was seen in the film. Today the Korean people are demonstrating their dignity and honor in confrontation with the U.S. and this is wholly attributable to the Songun politics pursued by Kim Jong Il, he added.
