Beijing, September 5 (KCNA) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao Friday called for producing many excellent literary and art works.

Hu told the creative staff of the drama "Guo Mingyi" in Beijing that Guo had remained faithful to his job and helped others sincerely for many years, studying hard and learning from the spirit displayed by Lei Feng.

He voiced his expectation that creators will make a great contribution to the prosperity and development of the advanced socialist culture, deeply aware that culture should serve people and socialism.
