Birthday of DPRK Marked

Pyongyang, September 6 (KCNA) -- Brazilian and Romanian organizations posted articles on their Internet homepages on August 29 and 30 to mark the 63rd anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The Brazilian Center for the Study of the Juche Idea said in an article titled "63rd anniversary of the foundation of socialist Korea" that President Kim Il Sung was the father of socialist Korea demonstrating its dignity as a political, ideological, military and scientific and technological power.

The article gave a detailed account of the fact that the President laid down an original line for building a power at his young age and founded the DPRK, the first people's democratic state in the East on September 9, 1948 on the basis of the practical experience gained in the period of the anti-Japanese armed struggle.

It noted that the President defined independent in politics, self-reliant in the economy and self-supporting in national defence as a fundamental principle for building an independent and sovereign state and wisely led the work for building new democratic Korea, carrying out the socialist revolution and economic construction in an indigenous and creative manner as required by the desire of the Korean people and specific conditions of the country.

The Romanian Workers' Association said in an article titled "Anniversary of the foundation of the DPRK" that the founding of the DPRK made it possible for all Korean people to win a victory in the protracted struggle for the revolution and construction under the leadership of the President.

The Juche idea is the idea of socialist Korea, the article noted. The DPRK today eloquently proves the vitality of the Juche idea, it added.
