Pyongyang, September 5 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Democracy, People's Life, Peaceful Reunification and Sovereignty of south Korea released a statement on Saturday in denunciation of the south Korean puppet group of traitors' indiscriminate crackdown upon the movement for peace against war, the actions against the naval base construction on Jeju Island.

The statement accused the authorities of hurling more than 1 000 riot forces into Kangjong village on Jeju Island Friday, leveling it to the ground and walking off over 30 protesters.

Infuriated by this, islanders bitterly denounced the authorities for hurling heavily armed forces into the island though the pain they suffered during the April 3 uprising still remains felt, noting what is going in the village is something unprecedented since the incident. the statement noted.

It strongly opposed the naval base construction.
