Pyongyang, September 2 (KCNA) -- The number of unemployed Japanese reached 2.94 million in July, a 50 000 increase from June.

Japan's trade balance fell into the red during the first 10 days of August as imports for energy resources increased.

The balance came to a deficit of 354.50 billion yen, the Finance Ministry said in a preliminary report on Aug. 30.
