S. Korean Regime Urged to Take Flexible Attitude to North

Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- With public criticism of the policy toward the north growing in south Korea, the newly-appointed director of the Institute for Unification Studies Tuesday urged the "government" to take a flexible attitude towards the north, according to the south Korean MBC (Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation).

Speaking to reporters, Kim Thae U said that any "government" of south Korea should not seek a "contingency" in the north.

He stressed that the "government" should discard the wrong view that a "contingency" will lead to the country's unification.
