Moscow, August 31 (KCNA) -- Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin called for applying modern machines and latest technologies to coal production.

In his congratulatory message sent to the officials and meritorious workers of the coal industrial sector on Aug. 28, the Day of Coal Miners, the prime minister underlined the need to pay close attention to the labor safety of coal miners.
