Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Thursday sent a message of greeting to Truong Tan Sang, president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on the occasion of its 66th birthday.

Kim in the message noted that the Vietnamese people are achieving success in their struggle for building a rich and powerful state under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Expressing belief that the long-standing and traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries would continue to develop in the common interests and desire of the two peoples, the message wished the Socialist Republic of Vietnam prosperity.
