Prison Term Imposed on Ex-chairman of Namchongryon in S. Korea

Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- The south Korean puppet Kwangju District Court on August 30 sentenced to three years in jail, four years of stay of execution and three years of suspension of qualification the ex-chairman of the Kwangju-South Jolla Provincial Federation of University Student Councils (Namchongryon) under the south Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon) on charges of the violation of the "National Security Law", the south Korean Yonhap News said.

The puppet court took such action against him for the mere reason that he acted as deputy to Hanchongryon and chairman of Namchongryon, which it labeled "enemy-benefiting organizations," and "manufactured and distributed literature benefiting the enemy and participated in illegal demonstrations" in 2007 and 2008.
