Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- Newspapers of various countries carried special write-ups and articles on the 51st anniversary of the start of Songun revolutionary leadership by Kim Jong Il.

The Russian newspaper Veteran No. 30 noted that thanks to more than 50 years of Songun leadership provided by Kim Jong Il the Korean People's Army has grown stronger politically and ideologically and in military technique.

The article said the DPRK has rapidly developed the overall economy of the country and improved the standard of people's living, while consistently adhering to the line of economic construction in the era of Songun.

The Lao newspaper Congtap Pasason Lao on Aug. 23 and Ugandan newspaper Sun Rise on Aug. 25 carried photos of Kim Jong Il and edited articles praising his Songun leadership exploits.

The Ecuadorian newspaper Tribuna on Aug. 21 carried the following article:

The DPRK has firmly defended popular masses-centered socialism and pushed ahead with the building of a great prosperous and powerful nation while smashing the anti-DPRK moves of the imperialists under the banner of Songun.

The Songun politics is, indeed, a political mode to be followed by the countries aspiring after independence as it is instrumental for repelling the moves of the imperialists, weathering all sorts of trials and difficulties and guaranteeing the victorious advance of the cause of revolution.
