Pyongyang, August 30 (KCNA) -- Shandong Province in China suffered damage due to heavy rainfalls on August 26 and 27.

Almost 710 000 mus of farmland in Zaozhuang and Linyi cities were inundated, many houses collapsed and the traffic was paralyzed.

Number of victims stands at 430 000.

Groznyi city in Chechnya, Russia also suffered from flood.

Over 600 houses went under water, forcing at least 2 400 people to seek urgent shelter.
