Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) -- The Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea and the National Defence Commission of the DPRK hosted a banquet to congratulate Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, upon his successful historic tours of the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China.

He was present there on invitation.

Warmly acknowledging the enthusiastic cheers of the participants he sent warm congratulations to all the servicepersons and people who have waged a dynamic general offensive for the building of a thriving socialist nation with intense loyalty to the party and the country.
