Beijing, August 25 (KCNA) -- China has launched a campaign for following the example of Wu Mengchao.

Wu, an academician and director of Orient Liver and Cholecyst Surgical Hospital affiliated with Military Medical University No. 2, has devotedly worked in medical service for 68 years, putting the interests of the Communist Party and the people above anything else.

The decision concerning the campaign was distributed recently by the Publicity Department of the Party Central Committee, Ministries of Education, Science and Technology, and Public Health, and General Political Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

The decision said the campaign is aimed to encourage the whole party, army and all the people to implement the strategic tasks of the 12th five-year plan, greatly contributing to building an innovation-oriented country and a comprehensively well-off society.
